We've made it this far!

We never imagined we'd make it this far.  We're over half way, and our baby is still alive and kicking!  I can feel the baby moving, and it is the most absolute amazing thing I have ever experienced.  I don't even have words to describe it.

We had our 20 week ultrasound last week.  The baby was not cooperating!  They couldn't see all of the parts of the heart that they wanted to, but everything else was looking perfect.  They made me go pee, lie on my right side, lie on my left side, and tipped me on my head to try to get the baby to move.  Our baby didn't budge.  Our baby also wouldn't take a nice picture for our scrapbook.  Here is the only shot we got besides some skeleton face pictures that were too scary to share:
I think I see a hand and a leg bone.  Ha ha...oh well.  They didn't see anything to be concerned about, and that is all we care about.

We didn't find out if it was a boy or girl.  I usually call it a "he" though.  It seems weird to call it a girl if I don't know what it is.  Kevin wanted to find out, but I didn't.  I really really wanted it to be a surprise, and Kevin didn't have extremely strong feelings so he let me win. :)  He wanted to get the baby room already and not let me see it until we came home with the baby.  That made my heart smile.

We said we would allow ourselves to buy things when we got to 20 weeks.  Well, 20 weeks is here, and I don't know what to buy.  It still seems too far away to buy anything big.  We made a list of the things we want/need so that feels like a start at least.

We took our first belly pictures.  I was actually feeling kind of cute so we took some a couple days ago.
20 weeks, 2 days
We had said we were going to start weekly belly pics a few weeks ago, but somehow the weeks came and went, and we didn't take any.  It's so weird because every pregnancy, especially this one, feels like it makes the seconds tick by so slowly yet we are now past the half way mark!

We just love this baby so much.  Kevin loves kissing my belly, and he whispers things to the baby so I can't hear.  The baby probably can't hear either, but it's so cute.  We just keep praying that this baby comes home with us.  Thank you for all of your continued prayers too!
